The Armstrong Fair, a beloved British Columbia tradition drawing over 150,000 attendees, has become a model for organic waste diversion at large outdoor events. Since partnering with Spa Hills Compost in 2015, the four-day fair has grown its food scrap diversion program dramatically — from 1,250 lbs diverted in their first year to an impressive 20,668 lbs in 2019.
